Handara Gate

Completed in late 2013/early 2014 as a stunning Balinese Candi Bentar (split gateway), Handara Gate symbolises the division between earthly and spiritual realms. It serves as the entrance to Handara Golf & Resort Bali, reflecting Balinese philosophy and the traditional design of sacred, peaceful spaces. Located in the Bedugul highlands of northern Bali, near Pancasari Village, Sukasada Subdistrict, Buleleng Regency, it is surrounded by lush forests, rolling hills, and cool mountain air (15 to 22°C), a refreshing contrast to Bali's coastal heat. This makes it a natural stop in many Bali itineraries for North Bali exploration.

Its towering stone pillars feature lovely carvings and symbolic Balinese motifs, creating an eternal, timeless scene that appeals to photographers, couples, families, and culture lovers.

The Handara Iconic Gate's popularity skyrocketed as it became a darling of social media, where it was no longer just a quiet entrance but instead a destination featured on countless Instagram feeds and travel itineraries. Its Handara Gate history dates back to the original design of the Handara Golf & Resort in the late 1970s, long before it became one of Bali's most photographed landmarks.
