About this experience
The red dunes at Lehbab sit about an hour south-east of the city and are the closest proper dune field to Dubai. A 4x4 runs the dune-bashing stretch in the late afternoon, stopping for photographs as the light drops, before continuing to a desert camp.
At camp the evening is a buffet BBQ dinner with live entertainment - tanoura, belly dance and a fire show - plus camel rides, sand boarding and henna. Seating is the thing that changes price: standard seating is on low benches around the shared stage, while VIP seating at the premium camps (Oasis Palm or Royal Vision) puts you on cushioned front-row tables.
Shared (SIC) tickets include the 4x4 transfer. If you are arriving in your own vehicle the camp entry is priced separately, per person.

- The safari runs in the Lehbab red dune belt, inland and south-east of Dubai.
- The afternoon is built around the dune drive and the sunset stop; the evening is at the camp.
- Camp activities such as camel rides, sand boarding and henna are shared and can involve short queues at peak times.
- Desert temperatures drop sharply once the sun goes down, even in warm months.
- The dune drive can be skipped on request for anyone who should not take it.

Desert terrain and 4x4 dune bashing are not wheelchair accessible. Accessible seating can be arranged at the evening desert camp with prior notice.
