About this experience
Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo occupies three floors of The Dubai Mall and is built around one of the largest suspended aquarium tanks in the world, holding ten million litres of water. A 48-metre acrylic tunnel runs through it, giving a 270-degree view of more than 33,000 animals including around 300 sharks and rays.
Upstairs, the Underwater Zoo divides 140+ species across three ecological zones: a Rainforest floor with arapaima and piranhas, a Rocky Shore with penguins and otters, and a Living Ocean section holding sea turtles, rays and giant spider crabs. King Croc, a five-metre saltwater crocodile, is the headline resident. Allow around twenty minutes for the tunnel and an hour upstairs.

Things to know
- The attraction sits inside The Dubai Mall. The 10-million litre tank is on the Ground Level.
- The Aquarium Tunnel runs 48 metres and takes you 11 metres below the surface.
- The Underwater Zoo is on Level 2 and covers the Rainforest, Rocky Shore and Living Ocean sections.
- Add-on experiences such as Penguin Cove, the Behind the Scenes Tour, the Underwater Observatory and the simulator depend on the ticket type you buy.
- Photos and videos for personal use are allowed. Flash photography is not allowed in marked areas.

- Entry is inside The Dubai Mall, Doha Street, off the 1st Interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road.
- Check which zones your ticket covers before you arrive. Not every experience is on every ticket.
