How do you get there from India?

There is no non-stop flight from India to Tbilisi. IndiGo now operates direct flights from Mumbai to Tbilisi, launched August 2026, running multiple times a week with a flight time of roughly 5 hours 45 minutes (Arkan). From Delhi, IndiGo also flies to Tbilisi but with a stop, and the journey runs closer to 11 hours end to end (various carriers via Google Flights). Round-trip fares from Delhi and Mumbai have been quoted from roughly ₹40,000 in off-peak weeks, though this moves with season and how far ahead you book.

What does a Georgia trip cost from India?

For day trips to Mtskheta, Kazbegi or Kakheti, most travellers hire a driver for the day rather than rely on public transport, since distances between mountain villages can be significant and buses run infrequently.

Cards work fine in Tbilisi and Batumi hotels and restaurants, but carry Georgian lari in cash for marshrutkas, village entrance fees and smaller guesthouses, where card machines are far less common.
