Maldives All-Inclusive Packages from India: What a Couple Really Pays

Four nights all-inclusive for two costs roughly Rs 2.4 lakh to Rs 5.1 lakh at the resorts compared below, as of September 2026, and three-night versions start near Rs 1.2 lakh. That includes the resort transfer and taxes but not flights. Two return tickets from an Indian city add about Rs 50,000 to Rs 95,000. All-inclusive is worth it when you both drink, or you want the minibar, spa credit and a cruise bundled in. If neither of you drinks, full board is usually enough.

But "all-inclusive" means different things at different resorts. The label on a package tells you very little. The meal-plan sheet the resort publishes tells you almost everything: which bars stay open, which whisky gets poured, whether the minibar counts, and what lands on your bill on the last morning. That's what I've compared below.

What BB, HB, FB and AI actually mean

The codes are standard. The fine print isn't. Here's how they read on real resort sheets:

• BB (bed and breakfast): breakfast only. Every lunch, dinner and drink goes on your bill.
• HB (half board): breakfast and dinner. Drinks are extra unless the plan says so. Centara Ras Fushi's Half Board+ adds two house drinks each at dinner.
• FB (full board): breakfast, lunch and dinner. Centara's Full Board+ allows two drinks per person at lunch and at dinner (one alcoholic, one not), plus water with meals.
• AI (all-inclusive): all meals and a list of house drinks. At Adaaran Club Rannalhi that means pours like Johnnie Walker Red Label and Smirnoff, drinks only until midnight, and a minibar that's charged.
• Premium AI: better pours, the minibar and a few extras. Adaaran Select Hudhuran Fushi's plan lists Johnnie Walker Black Label, Chivas Regal and Glenfiddich, a minibar refilled daily, a spa benefit per person and cruises on longer stays. The resort's plan page and the package listing differ on the spa and cruise details for short stays, so get them confirmed for your nights.
• 24/7 AI: at least one bar never closes. Siyam World keeps its sports bar pouring round the clock, and both Adaaran Select resorts below keep one bar open 24 hours.

My advice is to ignore the plan's name and read three lines on the sheet: the drinks list, the bar hours and the minibar. One resort's plain "all-inclusive" can beat another's "premium".

On a private resort island there's nowhere else to eat, so bed and breakfast or half board means paying resort prices for every other meal. For most couples the real choice is full board or all-inclusive.

What all-inclusive usually leaves out

The seaplane is the big one. Speedboat transfers near Male are cheaper and often bundled, but seaplanes cost real money. Adaaran Select Meedhupparu's own rate card lists a shared seaplane at USD 550 per adult for stays until October 2026 and USD 575 after that. At Rs 95.74 to the dollar (Wise mid-market rate, 23 September 2026), that's about Rs 52,700 to Rs 55,000 per person. The card doesn't say whether that is one way or return, so ask the resort. Its domestic flight plus speedboat option is USD 475, about Rs 45,500. Every package in the table below already includes the transfer, which is part of why the seaplane resorts sit higher.

Excursions come next. Many plans include one or two group trips, usually a sunset cruise, a dolphin cruise or a snorkelling trip, and then give 10% off the rest. Diving and motorised water sports are almost never covered, and the Adaaran plans exclude anything run by the water sports and dive centre.

Drinks come with limits too. Meeru's all-inclusive leaves out fresh juices, blended drinks, room service and any spirit not on its list. Adaaran Prestige Vadoo stops the free pour at midnight and doesn't cover drinks on excursions. The Adaaran, Meeru and Siyam World sheets all serve drinks one glass at a time, for your own consumption. Food is capped as well: Siyam World's dine-around dinner gives each person one starter, one main and one dessert, and bills anything more.

Two more things to watch. Paid extras usually carry a 10% service charge plus tax on top of the menu price. And at the Adaaran resorts and Meeru, everyone in a room has to be on the same plan, so one of you can't take all-inclusive while the other stays on full board.

Maldives all-inclusive packages from India: eight resorts compared

These are live packages for two adults, priced as of September 2026 for the travel month shown. Each price includes taxes and the resort transfer, not flights. Most are split stays with beach nights first and water villa nights after; Vadoo and OZEN keep you in one villa. Three are three-night packages, so ask for a fourth night to be added before you compare them with the rest. Per night, that works out at about Rs 40,000 for Oblu, Rs 52,000 for Hudhuran Fushi and Rs 78,000 for Vadoo, against Rs 60,000 to Rs 1.28 lakh for the four-night ones.

Prices move with dates. Christmas and New Year usually cost more, and offers can vanish: Siyam World's free-transfer deal, for example, doesn't apply to stays from 23 December 2026 to 10 January 2027.

Best value: Hudhuran Fushi and Meedhupparu

For most Indian couples on a first trip, I'd start with Adaaran Select Hudhuran Fushi. It's about 30 minutes from the airport by speedboat, the plan runs 24 hours with properly named spirits, and the Indian Pavilion restaurant serves North and South Indian food at lunch and dinner. That matters a lot if you're vegetarian. It's also a surf island with a restaurant reserved for surfers, so skip it if you want total silence.

Meedhupparu costs more because the seaplane is inside the price. If the USD 550 rate is the return fare, the seaplane alone is about Rs 1.05 lakh for two, which makes Rs 2,46,623 for four nights fair. Sufura is a proper Indian restaurant, the Café Mass bar never closes, and the plan adds a 45-minute spa session each. Choose it if you want the seaplane view. Skip it if a seaplane ride of about 45 minutes makes you nervous.

Adults only, all overwater: Vadoo

Adaaran Prestige Vadoo is adults-only and every villa sits over the water. The package keeps you in a Sunrise Water Villa with its own pool and jacuzzi for all three nights, with a butler, a daily minibar and breakfast in the villa at any hour. For many Indian travellers the sticking point is food. Its three restaurants are fine dining, Japanese and a barefoot grill, with no Indian kitchen. Couples who want quiet and eat anything will be happy here. Vegetarians who want dal every night should look elsewhere.

Big islands with space: Meeru and Siyam World

Meeru has room for a golf driving range, a nine-hole pitch and putt, tennis and padel courts, and a daily house reef snorkelling trip on the plan. The boat ride is the longest here at about an hour, and the food is buffet plus a three-course dine-around, with no Indian restaurant. I'd book it for active couples who get restless by day three.

Siyam World has the most generous plan on this list: the 24/7 bar, six speciality restaurants to pick from at dinner (Kurry Leaf is the Indian one), group cruises, a USD 50 spa credit per adult and unlimited use of a floating water park. It's big and busy, which suits friends and families better than couples chasing privacy.

The splurge, and two quick notes

OZEN Life Maadhoo sits at the top at Rs 5,10,323. Its INDULGENCE plan includes an underwater restaurant (guests 12 and over, four-night minimum), Indian and Sri Lankan food at Tradition IndoCeylon by booking, and unlimited snorkelling trips. Book it only if the extra Rs 2.6 lakh over Meedhupparu buys something you'll actually use.

Centara Ras Fushi is a short speedboat ride from Male with an all-inclusive plan and one thali meal per stay; the Centara Ras Fushi review covers it in full.

Oblu Xperience Ailafushi is the cheapest line in the table, but its package doesn't name a meal plan, so it isn't a like-for-like price. Ask for the all-inclusive version to be quoted before you compare it with the others.

Adding flights from Indian cities

None of these prices include flights. Going by published fare data (Kayak, checked 23 September 2026), typical return economy fares per person to Male look like this:

• Kochi: Rs 24,700 to Rs 32,600, direct on IndiGo and Maldivian, about 1.5 hours
• Bengaluru: Rs 26,600 to Rs 35,600, direct on IndiGo, about 2 hours
• Mumbai: Rs 28,900 to Rs 37,800, direct on IndiGo, under 3 hours
• Delhi: Rs 38,100 to Rs 47,300, direct on Air India, a little over 4 hours

So a couple flying from Bengaluru to Hudhuran Fushi for three nights pays roughly Rs 2.1 lakh to Rs 2.3 lakh all in. Mumbai to Meedhupparu for four nights comes to about Rs 3 lakh to Rs 3.2 lakh, and Delhi to Siyam World about Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 4.7 lakh. Fares change daily, so treat these as approximate. If you fly from Chennai, Hyderabad or Kolkata, check your own city's fare before you compare totals.

When full board is enough: a simple test

Get two quotes for the same villa and dates, one on full board and one on all-inclusive. Take the difference, divide it by the number of nights, then by two. That's what all-inclusive costs each of you per day. Now add up what you'd pay for without it: drinks between meals and after dinner, the minibar, afternoon snacks, one cruise and any spa credit you'd actually use. Add the 10% service charge and tax to each. If your honest total is lower than the daily difference, take full board.

In practice the answer usually comes down to alcohol. If neither of you drinks, most of the extra money buys a bar you won't use, and full board already covers the three meals that matter. That's doubly true for vegetarian couples who'll eat at the buffet or an Indian restaurant anyway. If you both enjoy a couple of drinks a day, want the minibar, or would rather not watch a bill add up, all-inclusive is the calmer choice, especially on stays of four nights or more.

Before you pay

Tourist visas are granted on arrival with no pre-approval, but Maldives Immigration asks for a passport valid for at least one month, a confirmed return ticket, a prepaid booking at a registered resort or hotel, and enough funds for the stay. Then check the voucher. It should name the exact plan ("24-hour Premium All Inclusive", not just "AI"), the transfer type, and how many nights you spend in each villa. If anything doesn't match what you were sold, fix it before you fly, not at check-in.
