Siyam World Maldives Review: Who It Suits and What 4 Nights Cost

Siyam World is the Maldives resort I'd suggest to a family with children aged roughly 4 to 12, and one I'd steer most honeymooners away from. For 4 nights in November 2026, a couple on the 24/7 WOW all-inclusive in the entry water villa (private pool, slide into the lagoon) should budget about Rs 6.1 lakh to Rs 6.6 lakh in total, counting return flights from India, one paid seaplane seat and Maldives taxes. That assumes you book on the resort's autumn offer, which ends 31 October 2026. A family of four in a beach villa lands nearer Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 8.4 lakh. Every price here is approximate, as of September 2026, converted at Rs 95.6 to the US dollar (the XE mid-market rate on 23 September 2026).

Who Siyam World suits

Siyam World sits on a 54-hectare island in Noonu Atoll, and the resort bills itself as the largest in the country. It runs like a small holiday town: a floating water park, the Maldives' only horse ranch, an electric go-kart track, a full-size football pitch, a 24-hour sports bar and more than 20 places to eat and drink. All 16 villa types come with a private pool.

That scale is the point. If you want the kids busy all day while you pick between a cruise and a swim-up bar, it's hard to beat. If you picture a small, silent island, it'll feel busy.

What the 24/7 WOW all-inclusive covers

Breakfast is a buffet at Baraabaru or Tempo, lunch rotates across Tempo and three pool bars, and there's afternoon tea. Dinner is the part that matters: each night you choose the buffet or one of six a la carte restaurants covering Thai, Spanish, Indian, grill, Italian and Maldivian food. Kulhivaru, the sports bar, pours around the clock, the drinks list runs to champagne and around 100 wines, and the minibar has beer, wine and soft drinks.

Outside meals, you get unlimited use of the water park, non-motorised water sports and snorkel gear, a trial dive in the pool or lagoon, tennis, padel, the gym, the kids club, a boat excursion chosen from a sunset cruise, a snorkelling safari or a local island visit, and a USD 50 spa credit per adult per stay.

The small print:

• Dinner is one starter, one main and one dessert per person. Extra dishes are charged.
• A la carte restaurants need a booking, so reserve your dinners on day one.
• Arigato, the Japanese restaurant, is 50% off rather than free. Barrique (the wine-cellar dinner) and The Cube chef's table aren't on the plan's dinner list.
• Horse riding, go-karts, motorised water sports and full dives aren't on the inclusions list, and the Gaadiyaa snack cart is charged extra.
• Nothing unused is refunded, even if weather cancels an excursion.

The seaplane: when it's free and when it isn't

Siyam World is a 40-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport in Male, and the transfer has to be booked through the resort. It costs USD 490 per adult (about Rs 46,800) and USD 295 per child (about Rs 28,200) return.

The free transfer offer is easy to misread. Stay 4 nights or more and one person flies free. Stay 7 nights and two people fly free. So on a 4-night trip a couple still pays for one seat, and a family of four pays for one adult and both children. The free seat doesn't apply to stays between 23 December 2026 and 10 January 2027.

Seaplanes fly only between 6 am and 4 pm, and the latest seaplane check-in is 3:30 pm. Baggage is capped at 20 kg checked plus 5 kg hand luggage per person, so pack to the seaplane limit, not your airline's.

Land after the cut-off and you have two options: a 30-minute domestic flight to Maafaru plus a 15-minute speedboat, charged on top (get the price before you book), or a night in Male or Hulhumale and a morning seaplane, which adds a hotel bill and costs half a beach day. On a 4-night trip I'd pick a flight that lands by early afternoon, even if it costs a little more.

Which villa to book

For couples

The Water Villa with Pool + Slide (81 sqm) is the cheapest category and by far the most common, with 157 of them. You get a private pool, a sundeck and a slide straight into the lagoon. The Ocean Villa with Pool + Slide (95 sqm) is bigger and sleeps 2 or 3 adults, no children. If you'd rather have sand than stilts, the Sunset Pool Beach Villa (91 sqm) costs only a little more and faces the sunset.

For a first trip I'd book the entry water villa for all 4 nights. With this much going on you won't spend long in the room, and splitting villas costs a morning of packing.

For families

The entry water villa takes only 2 adults and 1 child. The Sunset Pool Beach Villa and Beach Suite with Pool take 2 adults and 2 children, and the Lagoon Villa with Pool + Slide does the same over the water. With toddlers or weak swimmers I'd stay on the beach: a slide into open lagoon is fun for older kids and stressful for parents of small ones. Two families or a family with grandparents should look at the Two Bedroom Pool Beach Villa (200 sqm), which sleeps 4 adults and 2 children or 6 adults.

This is where Siyam World gets good value. Under the resort's free transfer offer, up to two children under 12 stay free in their parents' villa and eat free on their parents' meal plan. On the resort's booking site for 10 to 14 November 2026, a Sunset Pool Beach Villa for two adults with children aged 6 and 9 showed the same nightly rate as for two adults alone.

Water park, kids club and the rest

Siyam Water World has slides, obstacle runs, trampolines and climbing walls, and the resort calls it the largest floating water park in the Maldives. Kidz World takes children from 3 to 11 with crafts, kids yoga and junior marine biologist sessions, a Kidz Carnival runs twice a month, and babysitting is available. Teenagers are too old for the kids club, but the football pitch and padel courts are on the plan, and go-karts cost extra.

Indian and vegetarian food

Kurry Leaf is the Indian restaurant, built over the water and open for dinner from 6 pm to 10 pm, and it's one of the six dine-around choices on the plan. Breakfast and lunch are buffets and pool-bar menus. I wouldn't worry about vegetarian food at a resort with this many kitchens, but strict Jain or no-onion, no-garlic diets need an email to the resort before you fly, not a request at the table. Children under 12 order from the kids menu at the a la carte restaurants.

What 4 nights really cost from India

The table uses the rates the resort's booking site showed for 10 to 14 November 2026 on 23 September 2026, on the WOW all-inclusive. These are the discounted autumn offer rates: the same water villa listed at about USD 1,875 a night before the offer, so the table only holds for bookings made by 31 October 2026 for stays of 4 nights or more. It adds the 10% service charge and 17% T-GST (together about 28.7% on the room rate) and the green tax of USD 12 per person per night.

Typical return economy fares to Male run about Rs 24,700 to Rs 32,600 per person from Kochi, Rs 26,600 to Rs 35,600 from Bengaluru, Rs 28,900 to Rs 37,800 from Mumbai and Rs 38,100 to Rs 47,300 from Delhi. Kochi, Bengaluru and Mumbai have direct IndiGo flights of 1.5 to 3 hours, and Delhi's nonstop is Air India at a little over 4 hours. The family column assumes the children pay close to adult fares.

Season moves the number a lot. For 8 to 12 June 2027 the same water villa showed at USD 801 a night, bringing the couple's total to roughly Rs 5.0 lakh to Rs 5.5 lakh. For 9 to 13 February 2027 the cheapest villa left was USD 1,326 a night, pushing it to roughly Rs 7.6 lakh to Rs 8.0 lakh. The autumn offer behind the table's rates is up to 45% off plus a USD 150 resort credit per bedroom (not deducted in the table), for stays until 31 October 2027, with a blackout from 27 December 2026 to 10 January 2027.

Operator packages are priced on their own room and meal plan, which may not be the WOW all-inclusive, so the card below isn't a like-for-like match for the table. When comparing quotes, check the meal plan is the WOW all-inclusive, how many seaplane seats are included, and whether the green tax is in the total.

Siyam World vs Sun Siyam Olhuveli vs Hard Rock

Sun Siyam Olhuveli, in South Male Atoll, is the same group's 24/7 all-inclusive for less money. Its entry price is for a beach pavilion without its own pool, but 4 nights for two with the speedboat works out around Rs 3.9 lakh before flights, against about Rs 5.6 lakh at Siyam World. There's no seaplane cut-off (confirm the last boat if you land very late), Namaste serves Indian food on the dine-around, and the resort's third island, Romance, is adults-only (sold as TUI BLUE Olhuveli Romance).

The plan is thinner: bars charge after midnight except one, and non-motorised water sports are capped at an hour a day. If private pools, slides and a water park are why you're going, Siyam World wins. If you want the all-inclusive and an easy transfer for less, Olhuveli wins.

Hard Rock is about 15 minutes from the airport by speedboat and is part of CROSSROADS, a multi-island development in South Male Atoll. It's my pick for a 3-night trip, a late landing, or a couple who wants a music-led, social feel without a seaplane bill. For a family staying 4 nights or more, Siyam World simply gives you more to do.

If you like the Sun Siyam style but want quiet for a honeymoon, Sun Siyam Iru Veli in South Nilandhe Atoll is a 45-minute seaplane from Male at the same USD 490 per adult.

Who should skip Siyam World

• Honeymooners who want a small, quiet island more than activities.
• Anyone doing 3 nights: there's no free seaplane seat, and two 40-minute flights eat into a short stay.
• Travellers landing after mid-afternoon who don't want a domestic flight add-on or a night near the airport.
• Families counting on the free seat over Christmas and New Year.

Book Siyam World for a family trip of 4 nights or more, and go for 7 if you can, so two of you fly free. Pick a flight that lands by early afternoon. Honeymooners are better off at Iru Veli or on Olhuveli's adults-only Romance island, and couples on a short trip at Hard Rock.
